Punjab : Education Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains on Thursday reviewed ongoing infrastructure projects worth more than ₹100 crore in the Sri Anandpur Sahib Assembly constituency. The initiatives include the construction of four key bridges over the Swan Nadi and the Sutlej River, aimed at strengthening regional road networks and improving connectivity with Himachal Pradesh.
At a review meeting with officials from the Ropar district administration and concerned departments, the Minister evaluated the progress of bridge projects at Bhallari–Khera Kalmot, Algran, Kalitran–Bela Dhiyani, and Bela Dhiyani–Plassi. He noted that upon completion, these bridges would benefit over 100 villages and ensure seamless connectivity with the neighbouring hill state.

Harjot Singh Bains stated that the upgraded infrastructure would significantly cut travel time, offering major convenience to residents. He further highlighted that improved connectivity would promote inter-state trade and stimulate economic growth in the region. Better road and bridge infrastructure is expected to support local businesses, agriculture, and small-scale industries, contributing to overall development.

The Minister Harjot Singh Bains instructed officials to fast-track the projects while adhering to strict quality and durability standards. He made it clear that delays or lapses in execution would not be tolerated and that accountability would be enforced.
