Bhopal : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the transformative power of research during the inaugural session of the three-day National Shodharthi Samagam 2026, organized by Shri Dattopant Thengadi Shodh Sansthan at the Science Bhavan of MP Vigyan Evam Praudyogiki Parishad.
Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that research is not merely an academic pursuit but a force capable of shaping society and the nation. He urged researchers to fearlessly pursue studies in areas of their curiosity and interest, contributing to national development. “Just as necessity is the mother of invention, research is the foundation of science. When integrated into human intellect, it transforms into ‘Pragyan’,” the Chief Minister said.
Highlighting the importance of research for the country’s progress, Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh aims to become a leading state in innovation and scientific advancement. He encouraged researchers to move beyond conventional assumptions and present new ideas with a scientific outlook that can bring tangible benefits to society.

MP CM Mohan Yadav Unveils Research Publications and Event Materials for Scientists
Dr. Mohan Yadav also inaugurated the “Mahakal: The Master of Time” website, released the poster for the 41st Madhya Pradesh Yuva Vaigyanik Sammelan Evam Vigyan Utsav organized by Mapcost, and unveiled seven research-oriented books published by Dattopant Thengadi Shodh Sansthan. The event attracted researchers, academicians, and experts from across the country, with discussions scheduled on multiple aspects of science, innovation, and research until February 14.
Pujya Acharya Shri Mithleshanandinisharan Maharaj emphasized that research must be rooted in Indian culture and focused on societal welfare, stating that knowledge without realization is incomplete. Senior thinker Shri Suresh Soni highlighted the need for India-centric research across fields such as art, culture, justice, and economy, combining traditional knowledge with modern innovation.

Prof. Madhukar S. Padvi, Chairman of Bharatiya Samajik Vigyan Anusandhan Parishad and Vice-Chancellor of Bhagwan Birsa Munda Janjatiya Vishwavidyalaya, stressed collaborative research and the revival of indigenous knowledge systems. Higher Education and AYUSH Minister Shri Inder Singh Parmar said the event promotes India-centric research aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 and the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The inaugural session included welcome and thematic addresses by Dr. Alpana Trivedi and Dr. Mukesh Kumar Mishra, and highlights from Shri Ashok Pandey, President of Dattopant Thengadi Shodh Sansthan. The session concluded with Dr. Mohan Yadav planting a sapling at the Science Bhavan premises. Prominent attendees included Dr. Anil Kothari, Shri Vijay Manohar Tiwari, faculty members, and student researchers.
