Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Launches Industry–Labour Friendly Council to Boost Economic Growth

State Focuses on ‘Developed Industry, Developed Workers’ Policy to Strengthen Ease of Doing Business and Worker Welfare

Haryana : Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has announced that the state government will prioritize the principle of “Developed Industry, Developed Workers” to drive economic growth in Haryana. While chairing the first meeting of the newly formed “Industry–Labour Friendly Council” in Chandigarh on Wednesday, the Chief Minister underlined that effective coordination between industries and workers is essential for building a strong and sustainable economy.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Sudhir Rajpal, Industries and Commerce Commissioner and Secretary Dr. Amit Agrawal, Labour Department Principal Secretary Rajiv Ranjan, Deputy Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Yashpal, along with other senior officials and council members.

CM Nayab Singh Saini emphasized that economic development is not possible unless industries operate efficiently and workers remain secure and satisfied. With this objective, Haryana has constituted the “Industry–Labour Friendly Council,” becoming the first state in the country to establish such a platform.

Nayab Singh Saini stated that the government is committed to ensuring “Ease of Doing Business” for industries and “Ease of Living” for workers. The council will evaluate government policies related to industry and labour, recommend measures to enhance worker safety, address industrial disputes, and suggest improvements in skill development at ITIs and technical institutions. Increasing worker productivity will also remain a key focus, contributing to higher GDP growth.

Nayab Singh Saini Launches Portal to Support MSMEs Outside Industrial Areas

The Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini noted that nearly two lakh micro and medium enterprises located outside designated industrial areas were previously unable to access various benefits. To resolve this, a dedicated portal was launched on December 25, 2025, allowing such units to register and avail themselves of government schemes. He also mentioned that issues regarding the transfer of plots from HUDA to HSIIDC have been settled.

Additionally, the government has approved concessional land allotment for ESIC hospitals and is accelerating the construction of affordable worker dormitories in industrial areas. Plans are also underway to build multi-level parking facilities in districts facing space limitations.

CM Nayab Singh Saini reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fostering an investor-friendly environment in Haryana, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Viksit Bharat–2047.”
