CM Yogi Adityanath highlights UP’s spiritual heritage, 80 medical colleges, Ayushman Bharat coverage, and revenue surplus at nephrology conference.

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, was present at the Indian Society of Nephrology’s 54th Annual Conference on Thursday. He claimed that UP is currently one of the top three states in the nation and a revenue-surplus state.

UP: A Center of Spirituality and Culture

CM Yogi Adityanath addressed the gathering, stating, “I’ve been informed that over 1700 delegates have signed up for the event. This is one of the largest nephrology conferences hosted by SGPGI. There are 25 crore people living in UP. We held the Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj earlier this year. It was attended by around 66 crore devotees. UP, the nation’s spiritual capital, is also home to Kashi. In Ayodhya, a magnificent temple devoted to Lord Ram has been constructed after five hundred years. The first solar city in the world is now Ayodhya. There are many different facilities there now. Ayodhya has become a stunning city.

Rich Pilgrimage and Historical Heritage

He added that UP is home to Kapilavastu, the kingdom of Lord Buddha. In Sarnath, Uttar Pradesh, Lord Buddha imparted his teachings. He pointed out that Uttar Pradesh too has a large number of pilgrimage sites. According to him, four Tirthankaras were born in Varanasi and four in Ayodhya. “Jhansi’s Raji was from Uttar Pradesh. Both the Chauri Chaura incident and the Kakori rail incident happened in Gorakhpur. There have been numerous historical episodes in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

The Change in Healthcare and Governance at UP

Such gatherings are essential to the development of the state. Such gatherings were considered a waste of money by previous governments. The state, which comprises 75 districts, had just 17 government medical colleges as of 2017. District hospitals were in extremely poor condition. UP now has 80 medical schools. There is a medical college in every district. The impoverished have been issued 5.5 crore Ayushman Bharat golden cards. Through the CM Relief Fund, I have given the impoverished Rs 1300 crores in the last year. UP was formerly known as the Bimaru state. UP is currently one of the top three states in the nation in terms of revenue surplus,” he stated.

He went on to say that UP is now known as “One District One Medical College” instead of “One District One Mafia.”
