Haryana considers canal-based drinking water supply for Assandh villages amid falling groundwater levels; survey work underway for implementation.
In light of the diminishing groundwater levels in the villages of Ardana, Balu, Bandrala, Khanda Kheri, and Phaphrana in the Assandh Assembly Constituency, a proposal for a canal-based drinking water supply is being considered, according to Haryana Public Health Engineering Minister Sh. Ranbir Gangwa.

During the Haryana Vidhan Sabha’s Winter Session, Assandh MLA Sh. Yoginder Singh Rana asked a question that the Minister was responding to.
He stated that the administration is thinking of setting up a canal-based water supply similar to the previous system in light of the drinking water crisis in the aforementioned areas.

The House was further informed by the Cabinet Minister that this proposal also includes the villages of Gangatehri, Kaul Khera, Popra, and Jhimri Khera. In order to implement the plan, he stated that survey work is presently underway and that additional action will be taken once the survey is finished.
