Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurates Jauljibi Fair, announces new roads, walking routes, and infrastructure projects boosting India-Nepal ties.
Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister of Uttarakhand, inaugurated the venerable Jauljibi Fair at the junction of the Kali and Gori rivers on the Pithoragarh border between India and Nepal. The development of the Bagecha-Dharchula Kot walking route and the construction of a new road from Jhaloori to Palyati in Hoopli village were among the major infrastructure projects he announced at this time.
In the future, a road connecting Kalapani and Dashrath Parvat Kund as well as an internal CC road in Suring village would be built. Furthermore, there is a Sainik Rest House in Dharchula and an RCC culvert at the Simgad River in Bhainskot. Drawing attention to the fair’s importance, Dhami noted how it represents the long-standing cultural and economic ties between India and Nepal.

Reiterating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dedication to the area, the Chief Minister pushed for regional development. In Pithoragarh, there are plans for a large stadium, a contemporary multipurpose complex, and a medical college. Road construction, Naini Saini Airport development, and other initiatives to improve connectivity are under progress, creating jobs and improving socioeconomic circumstances.
