Dehradun, Uttarakhand: The government of Uttarakhand is intensifying efforts towards the economic empowerment and self-reliance of women in the state. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, in a post on his official X page, highlighted the remarkable impact of the Lakhpati Didi Scheme, which has become a strong pillar of support for women across Uttarakhand.

Under the Lakhpati Didi Scheme, more than 2.55 lakh women have been empowered so far. The program is designed to provide women with access to self-employment opportunities, skill development, and sustainable livelihoods, helping them achieve financial independence and contribute to the state’s economy.

Speaking about the initiative, CM Dhami emphasized, “Our government is committed to creating an environment where women can thrive economically. The Lakhpati Didi Scheme has opened doors for women to explore new avenues of income, build confidence, and become truly self-reliant.”
