Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma reviews Jaipur Metro Phase-2, aiming to boost connectivity, reduce traffic, and build a modern transport network for the city.
The state government is dedicated to creating a seamless and cutting-edge transportation network throughout Rajasthan, according to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.
The Jaipur Metro’s extension will give city dwellers better and more dependable transportation options given the city’s quickly expanding population. Jaipur Metro Phase-2, he continued, will also considerably lessen traffic congestion.
On Monday, Sharma spoke at the Chief Minister’s Office at a review meeting on the Jaipur Metro expansion.
According to him, the project will be essential to bolstering Jaipur’s transit system. He gave officials instructions to closely evaluate the Metro Phase-2 project’s expenditure and cost forecasts in order to guarantee the best possible use of available funds and to provide the general public with a reliable transit system.
The Chief Minister emphasized that in order to give commuters the most respite possible, metro stations should be situated in busy regions during the next expansion.
He was told by officials that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Jaipur Metro Phase-2 has been authorized by the state government and sent to the Central Government. Once approval has been obtained, construction will start. The Jaipur Metro Phase-2 project will run about 42.80 km with a total of 36 stations—34 elevated and 2 underground—according to information provided during the conference.
