Manish Sisodia, Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab in-charge and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, has issued a strong call to action under the Yudh Nashean Virudh Campaign, urging MLAs to take full responsibility for eliminating drugs from every village in Punjab.

Addressing party leaders and workers in Amritsar, Sisodia emphasized that the fight against drugs is not a short-term effort but a long and determined mission to secure the future of coming generations.

“Not a One-Day Fight, It’s a Mission”: Sisodia

Highlighting the seriousness of the Yudh Nashean Virudh Campaign, Manish Sisodia said that every MLA must ensure daily accountability at the village level.

“This is not a one-day fight. It is a ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’. If drugs are being sold in even one village, leaders cannot afford to stay silent,” he asserted, adding that failure to act would mean neglecting their duty.

Strict Warning to Leaders Over Drug Menace

Issuing a stern warning, Sisodia said that any MLA or leader who ignores drug activities in their area is failing their responsibility. He made it clear that the Yudh Nashean Virudh Campaign demands active participation and courage from every party member.

“If you cannot stand against drug mafias, then you should not be part of the party. This party exists to fight,” he stated firmly.

Block-Level Monitoring and Village Accountability

As part of the Yudh Nashean Virudh Campaign, meetings will be held from March 24 to March 31 across all blocks in Punjab. Village Defence Committees (VDCs) will report on the drug situation in their respective areas.

Sisodia stressed that MLAs and local leaders must personally monitor progress, identify responsible individuals, and ensure coordinated action to make villages drug-free.

Reiterating a strict stance, Manish Sisodia said that even the slightest connection of any party worker with drug networks will not be tolerated.

He added that clear instructions have been issued by Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Singh Mann that no individual involved in drug trade will be spared under the Yudh Nashean Virudh Campaign.

AAP’s Roots in Struggle and Governance Model

Recalling the origins of the Aam Aadmi Party, Sisodia highlighted that the party was born out of a 14-day protest at Jantar Mantar, driven by a fight against corruption.

He also cited governance achievements under Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi, including improvements in education, healthcare, electricity, and water, despite administrative challenges.

Call to Protect Future Generations

Appealing emotionally, Sisodia said the Yudh Nashean Virudh Campaign is not just a political effort but a moral responsibility.

“We are fighting for our children. The only way to secure their future is to ensure a drug-free Punjab,” he said, urging collective action from government, police, and citizens.

Final Push for Results

Concluding his address, Sisodia announced that after March 31, progress will be reviewed constituency-wise. Each MLA will be required to present data on drug-free villages and set timelines for complete eradication.

The Yudh Nashean Virudh Campaign is expected to intensify in the coming weeks as the Punjab government pushes for a coordinated and result-driven approach.
