CM Mohan Yadav reviewed the Indore water contamination incident, ordering strict action, continuous monitoring, and urgent repairs as 40,000 residents were screened.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav met with senior officials and members of the public today in Indore to evaluate the waterborne issue that happened in the Bhagirathpura region. Dr. Yadav, the chief minister, thoroughly examined the incident, the current state of affairs, and the measures that have been taken thus far. He made it very obvious that this kind of thing could not happen again in the future. According to him, the government’s top goal is making sure that citizens have access to clean and safe drinking water, and any disregard for this will result in severe consequences.
In order to guarantee ongoing observation and prompt decision-making, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav instructed Additional Chief Secretary (Urban Administration) Shri Sanjay Dubey to stay based in Indore. In order to strengthen the water supply and sewerage infrastructure, he also directed that the Municipal Corporation be given the necessary people and resources.
An investigation into the initial failures is currently underway, and based on the thorough inquiry report, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that harsh action will be taken against the responsible authorities and agencies. “The government will take firm steps to ensure that citizens do not face such hardship again and that lessons are learned to prevent any recurrence,” he said, characterizing the occurrence as regrettable.

The administration, government and private hospitals, medical schools, and public representatives all responded quickly, which Chief Minister Dr. Yadav commended. He claimed that because of their concerted efforts, the emergency was contained and the impacted residents received prompt medical attention.
The committee was informed that prompt action was taken in response to concerns about a contaminated water supply that surfaced in the Bhagirathpura ward. More than 40,000 persons were screened during the last two to three days, and 2,456 suspected patients had symptoms. Of these, 212 individuals were admitted to hospitals; 162 patients are still receiving care, and 50 have recovered and been released. According to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, he personally visited several hospitals with members of the public and spoke with the patients, the most of whom were in stable condition.
Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava and Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya both made significant recommendations to stop similar tragedies in the future during the discussion. The conference was informed on the current state of affairs by Collector Shivam Verma.
Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat, Member of Parliament Shankar Lalwani, Additional Chief Secretary (CM Secretariat) Neeraj Mandloi, MLAs Malini Gaur and Golu Shukla, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Sudam Khade, Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh, Municipal Commissioner Dilip Kumar Yadav, MIC Member Abhishek Sharma, and other citizens and public officials were among those in attendance.
