Gujarat: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday intensified its statewide आंदोलन across Gujarat over alleged irregularities and paper leak in the NEET examination, staging protests in Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Jamnagar, and Kutch, and demanding a transparent investigation along with strict action against those responsible.
The protests were led by the party’s student and youth wings, with demonstrations reported in multiple districts. In Ahmedabad, the ASAP Gujarat organised a large protest in which state, central, and city-level office bearers including Dharmik Mathukiya, Yatrik Patel, and Tirth Shrimali participated along with a significant number of students and activists
Allegations of Widespread Impact on Students and Demand for Strict Action and Transparent Probe.
Protesters alleged that the NEET paper leak had severely impacted over 23 lakh students and demanded accountability from the authorities responsible for conducting the examination. They raised slogans seeking a transparent inquiry and strict punishment for those involved in the alleged scam.

In Rajkot, members of the AAP youth and student wing staged a symbolic protest and were later detained by police. According to party statements, around eight activists were taken into custody during the demonstration. The party alleged that police action was used to suppress peaceful protests.

Yatrik Patel, speaking during the Ahmedabad protest, claimed that the paper leak had “destroyed the future of students,” stating that unemployment and exam irregularities had left students frustrated and uncertain about their future.
In Kutch, AAP leader Dr. Kainat Ansari submitted a memorandum to the district collector demanding a time-bound and impartial investigation into the NEET paper leak allegations. She stressed that NEET is a crucial exam for the country’s healthcare system and corruption in such examinations poses a serious threat to the future of students.
Dr. Ansari also emphasized the need for justice, stating that merit must prevail over corruption and that public trust in the examination system has been deeply damaged.
The protests in Rajkot also included symbolic demonstrations where activists dressed as doctors distributed snacks as a form of protest, highlighting their criticism of the current examination system.
AAP leaders reiterated their demand for a nationwide reform of examination processes and warned that their agitation would continue until a fair and transparent system is ensured.
The party has accused authorities of failing to protect student interests, while police officials have maintained that action was taken to maintain law and order during the demonstrations.
