Ahmedabad (Gujarat): Aam Aadmi Party Gujarat in-charge Gopal Rai has issued a strong statement over the alleged NEET-UG paper leak, calling it a “betrayal of students” and warning that if the government fails to find a solution, the youth may be forced to take matters into their own hands.
Addressing the issue in Ahmedabad, Rai said the alleged leak was not just an examination irregularity but a setback for nearly 22 lakh students whose futures, according to him, have been “compromised.” He claimed that repeated paper leaks across the country have created a deep sense of fear and uncertainty among students and parents.
Rai alleged that competitive examination leaks have become a recurring issue in India, stating that nearly 93 paper leaks have occurred since 2014 across various examinations. He said millions of students who prepare for years are left disappointed due to systemic failures.

Citing multiple past incidents, he referred to alleged paper leaks in exams including CPMT (2014), AIPMT (2015), various state and recruitment examinations, and recent cases involving UP Police recruitment, UGC-NET, and others. He claimed that such repeated incidents reflect serious administrative failures in maintaining exam integrity.
Allegations of Government Inefficiency and Possible Political Protection in Paper Leak Cases
He questioned whether the government is capable of conducting fair examinations or whether those involved in paper leaks are operating with greater influence. Rai also raised concerns over alleged political connections behind some of the arrests in such cases, suggesting possible systemic protection for offenders.
The AAP leader further criticized the central government, alleging that despite repeated assurances, no effective solution has been implemented to prevent paper leaks. He said students from all backgrounds—farmers, laborers, and middle-class families—are the worst affected, as their years of preparation are being undermined.

Rai warned that continued inaction could lead to widespread unrest among youth, stating that young people may be forced to “find their own solution” if the system does not respond. He urged authorities to ensure transparent and secure examination processes to restore trust among students and parents.
The statement comes amid ongoing nationwide protests and political debate over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations, particularly NEET-UG, which has sparked concerns across multiple states.
