Bihar CM Nitish Kumar says law and order have improved since 2005, with no Hindu-Muslim conflicts in Gopalganj and peace prevailing across the state.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar claimed that since his government took office in November 2005, the state’s law and order situation has improved because there is “no Hindu-Muslim conflict” in Gopalganj.

He claimed that the previous state of affairs prevented people from leaving their houses after dark.

Speaking at a public rally here, Kumar claimed that throughout the last 20 years, his government had carried out development projects and fought tirelessly to bring the rule of law to Bihar.

Since the formation of our administration on November 24, 2005, we have spent the last 20 years working to establish the rule of law and advance the state’s growth. What existed before to our government? It was awful. After dark, people were not allowed to leave their houses. Then, whose government was it? There were communal rioting and social strife. The Bihar chief minister claimed that there was a shortage of roads, energy, healthcare, and education.

He added that, despite the fact that his party formed the government, there is no fear in Bihar.

“Development has been going on ever since our government took office. There’s no sense of dread or anxiety of any sort. There is now fraternity, love, and peace in Bihar. Jhagda hota tha pehele kitna Hindu Muslim. We began encircling graveyards, or gherabandi. Now there is no disagreement. Hindu temples used to be the scene of nighttime miscreants. In order to prevent robberies, Hindu temples older than 60 years were gated after 2016, according to Kumar.

Upendra Prasad, the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), had earlier claimed that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is being supported by the public because they are satisfied with the job being done in Bihar by the double-engine administration led by Nitish Kumar.

Because they are happy with the work being done by the state administration, the people are backing the NDA. Only those who deliver meet expectations. Before 2005, the public had seen Bihar. The people here realize that there is hope for the future because of the Bihar of the past and the changes that have occurred now. The BJP’s Prasad is running for the Gurua assembly seat.

The main race in the 2025 Bihar elections will be between the Mahagathbandhan and the National Democratic Alliance.
