Bihar CM Nitish Kumar pledges 1 crore jobs for youth, highlights major achievements in infrastructure, education, and women’s empowerment since 2005.
Vaishali, Hajipur: At a public meeting at Prem Raj Middle School in the Goraul district of the Vaishali Assembly seat, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar made a significant revelation regarding young employment. According to him, the government has already given 10 lakh (one million) young people jobs and intends to give another 10 million young people jobs over the course of the next five years. The Chief Minister encouraged the young people to participate in Bihar’s development and to fully utilize government programs.
Advancements Since 2005
The notable advancements Bihar has made since his administration came to power in 2005 were emphasized by Nitish Kumar. He recalled that in the past, because of lawlessness and tensions within the community, people hardly ever left the house after dark. There was a serious lack of infrastructure, including roads and electricity. Kumar accused past administrations of ignoring social welfare and development, particularly for women.

He highlighted his leadership’s accomplishments in healthcare and education, such as the Bihar Public Service Commission’s hiring of 2.58 lakh teachers. The Chief Minister added that, in contrast to the past, healthcare facilities now see thousands of patients each month. The number of medical colleges in the state has increased, from six to twelve.
Welfare and Infrastructure Projects
Massive road construction initiatives that have shortened travel times throughout Bihar were mentioned by Nitish Kumar. Every home now has access to tap water thanks to the flagship “Saat Nishchay” (Seven Resolves) program, and farming areas now have more irrigation infrastructure.
He also emphasized social welfare initiatives including plans to install solar panels in every home and free electricity up to 125 units per household. In addition to mandating 35% reservation for women in the police force and 50% reservation for women in Panchayati Raj institutions, the government has raised pension payments from ₹400 to ₹1100 since 2013.
Social Inclusion and Women’s Empowerment
Approximately 1.21 million women have received ₹10,000 in their accounts under the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme, and plans are in place to provide up to ₹2 lakh in extra assistance. About 1.4 crore women, known as “Jeevika Didis,” have been connected throughout the state under the “Jeevika” initiative, which promotes women’s independence and empowerment.
In order to guarantee inclusive growth, Nitish Kumar reassured that his government has worked with all communities, including Muslims, Hindus, backward classes, and general categories.
Development Initiatives and Political Allure
Additionally, the CM announced new infrastructure projects in Vaishali, including the development of degree institutions, six-lane bridges, engineering and medical colleges, and drainage system upgrades in Hajipur. There was also mention of the ongoing bridge construction between Hajipur and Patna.

BJP state president Dilip Jayswal hailed Nitish Kumar’s commitment to the development of the entire state and attacked other parties for nepotism during the ceremony. Strong pleas were made to voters to support NDA candidates in the next elections by JD(U) National Executive President Sanjay Jha and other NDA officials.
