Key Agreements and Defence Framework
During the discussions on India Algeria Defence Cooperation, both sides signed the Rules of Procedure that will guide the implementation of defence collaboration. This framework will also serve as the foundation for future Joint Commission meetings between India and Algeria.

High-Level Delegation Participation
The India Algeria Defence Cooperation meeting was co-chaired by Joint Secretary (International Cooperation) Shri Amitabh Prasad and Maj Gen Kaid Nour Eddine, Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces of Algeria.
The Indian delegation included representatives from the three Services, Integrated Defence Staff Headquarters, Department of Defence Production, DRDO, Armed Forces Medical Services, and the Ministry of External Affairs.
Strengthening Defence Ties Since 2024
The India Algeria Defence Cooperation has seen steady growth since the signing of a Defence MoU in 2024. High-level visits from both sides have further strengthened bilateral ties and expanded areas of collaboration.
The recent visit by Maj Gen Kaid Nour Eddine is considered a key step in reinforcing defence engagement between India and Algeria.
Tribute and Industry Engagement
As part of the India Algeria Defence Cooperation visit, Maj Gen Kaid Nour Eddine paid tribute at the National War Memorial in New Delhi, honouring fallen soldiers.
The Algerian delegation is also scheduled to interact with Indian defence industries, aiming to explore new opportunities for collaboration and technological exchange.
