UP CM Yogi Adityanath launches Road Safety Month until Jan 31 to curb accidents, enforce traffic rules, and ensure safety across the state.

Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, declared on Monday that the state will mark ‘ Road Safety Month‘. The campaign will be active until January 31, Sunday. The Chief Minister stated that during ‘road safety month’, police personnel will ensure that rules are strictly implemented across all regions of the state to avoid road accidents. According to CM Yogi, the decision will protect families and their futures in the state.

‘Road Safety Day’ in UP

Uttar Pradesh is commemorating ‘Road Safety Day’ until January 31. According to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the campaign’s goal is to reduce the state’s mortality toll to zero. He claimed that a campaign is underway in 20 districts of the state that have been identified as prone to accidents. Additionally, officials have identified nearly 3,000 areas that are prone to accidents. The active effort known as ‘Road Safety Month’ will assure road safety throughout the state.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on X that the state has scheduled a ‘Road Safety Month’ until January 31 to protect families and their future. He stated that police officers will ensure that the laws are properly enforced for everyone’s safety in the state. He continued: “I am fully confident that you will follow the traffic rules to make the roads of the state convenient and safe.”

Road accidents in Uttar Pradesh.

Road accidents are becoming more common in the state. The number of road accident deaths in Uttar Pradesh is highly worrying, with more than 8,445 reported in 2023. On January 9, nine people were reported killed in separate road incidents in five districts of Uttar Pradesh.
