CM Bhajan Lal Sharma inaugurates Saras Rajsakhi National Fair in Jaipur; 300 stalls showcase crafts and empowerment by women’s self-help groups.

The Saras Rajsakhi National Fair was opened at Jawahar Kala Kendra on Thursday by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. He visited several booths set up by the nation’s women’s self-help organizations during this time, learning about the goods and appreciating their expertise.

Sharma had a friendly interaction with Lakhpati Didi and the women of the Self Help Groups on this particular day. He claimed that self-help groups are empowering women and growing the rural system. She is taking care of her house and contributing significantly to the national economy.

The Saras Mela, according to the Chief Minister, is evidence that a sustainable and inclusive change in the lives of rural women is achievable when the appropriate policies, robust institutional framework, and successful implementation come together. Additionally, this fair represents our commitment to Atmanirbhar Rajasthan-Atmanirbhar Bharat.

It is significant that the diverse customs, craftspeople, and artistic expressions of rural India are on exhibit during this Saras Rajsakhi National Fair, which will run through January 4. This expo features about 300 stalls from 24 states, including Rajasthan. Rural customs, textile traditions, folk art, folk crafts, handlooms, and handcraft goods from across the nation are all on display and for sale.

Chief Secretary V. Mati Shreya Guha, Additional Chief Secretary for Rural Development, Livelihood Projects, and State Mission Director of Self-Help Group Mati Neha Giri were present at a number of public gatherings.
