JAIPUR : The state government has issued formal financial approval for a comprehensive Rajasthan government school repair project in Jaipur. Specifically, authorities sanctioned ₹18 lakh to construct a new building for Government Primary School Rampura in Sanganer block. This decisive administrative order came shortly after volunteers from the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) visited the site. The political group claimed the educational facility had been operating inside a local cattle enclosure due to crumbling infrastructure.
Consequently, CJP leadership declared the state order a massive victory for their national reform movement. Party co-convener Ashutosh Ranka emphasized that persistent public pressure directly forced government intervention. Meanwhile, local officials confirmed that civil construction for the new school facility will officially begin on September 1.

Funding Breakdown for the Rampura Primary School
According to official state releases, financial authorization for the project utilizes multiple public funding streams. The administration allocated ₹12 lakh from the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) fund on August 13. Additionally, authorities secured ₹6 lakh from the regional Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) fund to meet the ₹18 lakh target.

The government stated that the primary school building originally housed two classrooms, a veranda, and a toilet complex built in 1985. However, structural integrity deteriorated over decades of continuous use. A comprehensive technical survey conducted in September 2025 officially declared the structure dilapidated and unsafe for young children.
Initially, education officers proposed transferring the 18 enrolled students to a government higher secondary school in nearby Beelwa. However, local villagers strongly opposed moving young pupils across village boundaries due to commuting hazards. Therefore, authorities established makeshift arrangements within the village, which CJP members later identified as an active cattle shed.
Confrontation During the ‘School Thik Karo’ Campaign Visit
The administrative action followed violent skirmishes during a CJP inspection visit on Friday, August 21. A delegation led by Ashutosh Ranka visited the Rampura site under their national ‘School Thik Karo’ (Improve Government Schools) initiative. However, local residents and political activists intercepted the visiting team outside the village.
A heated confrontation broke out as crowds pushed back the visiting delegates and damaged their transport vehicles. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke publicly alleged that political goons viciously attacked party workers to suppress evidence. Conversely, local villagers claimed the visiting group created unnecessary panic and disrupted peace in the residential area. Following the altercation, local police registered cross-FIRs to investigate claims of physical assault and public disturbance from both sides.
CJP Claims Victory and Demands Police Accountability
Despite the violent confrontation, CJP leaders celebrated the government’s formal sanction of the ₹18 lakh fund. Ashutosh Ranka noted that while their primary demand for the Rampura school construction was met, the broader campaign continues. He questioned why state authorities delayed structural funds until activists highlighted the dangerous conditions publicly.
Furthermore, party founder Abhijeet Dipke demanded strict police action against individuals involved in the physical attack on volunteers. The organization affirmed it will closely track civil construction progress in Rampura. Meanwhile, CJP activist teams plan to expand inspection visits across other dilapidated government schools in western Rajasthan.
State Education Infrastructure Roadmap
In response to growing scrutiny surrounding public education infrastructure, the state government highlighted its broader reform initiatives. Under directions from Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the government prepared a three-year infrastructure roadmap worth ₹12,500 crore. This comprehensive blueprint aims to upgrade thousands of aging school structures into safe, modern learning centers across the state.
The ambitious roadmap includes the following key infrastructure goals:
- New Buildings: Constructing 3,587 new school structures with an estimated budget of ₹2,487.75 crore.
- Classroom Expansion: Adding 83,783 new classrooms across districts, costing ₹8,378.30 crore.
- Major Repairs: Allocating ₹1,129.45 crore toward structural repairs in 22,589 existing institutions.
- Sanitation Facilities: Building 13,616 new toilet complexes with a ₹340.40 crore budget.
Additionally, state authorities confirmed that ongoing school development projects worth ₹3,006.34 crore are already underway. Officials emphasized that these systematic investments demonstrate a long-term commitment to student safety and modern educational standards.
