Rajasthan cold wave continues; schools in Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, and Bundi closed for Classes 1–8. Yellow alert issued statewide.
Jaipur: According to government officials on Monday, Rajasthan is still feeling the effects of the severe cold and cold wave.
Since the weather has been consistently cold, three additional districts—Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, and Bundi—have extended their school holidays in addition to Baran district.
Government and non-government schools in Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, and Bundi have declared temporary closures for elementary school pupils in accordance with district administration instructions.
All government and private schools in the district will be closed for Classes 1 through 8 from January 6 to 10, per an order issued on Monday by District Collector Khushal Yadav.
Students alone are eligible for the holiday. Classes nine through twelve will go on as usual in the interim.

The school employees must also stay on site and follow departmental policies.
District Collector Manju has mandated that all government and non-government institutions for pupils in Nursery through Class 5 be closed from January 6 to January 12 due to the cold wave.
Under the new schedule, students in classes 6 through 12 will work from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Due to the current chilly weather, the Bundi district has likewise issued a two-day school break.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be extreme cold for the next week.
Indeed, a yellow notice has been issued for January 7–8, which includes Churu, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Alwar, and Jaipur. On Tuesday, a cold wave alarm has been issued for these areas.
To guarantee the safety of the youngsters, authorities have instructed parents and schools to stay vigilant and adhere to official directives.
