Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma presided over the Rajasthan Cabinet and Council of Ministers meeting on Wednesday, December 3, which approved a number of significant decisions. After the Rajasthan Jan Vishwas Amendment Act was adopted by the government, minor infractions will no longer result in jail time. Prison sentences have been eliminated by numerous laws, leaving just a provision for a fine. Significant choices were also made about airport development, compassionate appointment, tourism, and Rajasthani policy for migrants.

Many laws solely impose penalties instead of jail time.

Eleven rules that required incarceration for even little infractions have been repealed by the government. In these circumstances, just monetary penalties are now required.

According to Cabinet Ministers Jogaram Patel and Sumit Godara, the amendments were made to promote Ease of Living and Ease of Doing and to stop the practice of sending individuals to jail needlessly.

Ten times the penalty for felling trees

The regulations pertaining to the forest region have undergone significant modification. The fine for felling trees has been raised from Rs 100 to Rs 1000 for the first time. The penalty has been raised from Rs 200 to Rs 2000 for the second time.

Cutting timber from the forest or causing damage to forest property will only result in a fine. Even for animals that graze in the forest department’s forests, there will simply be a fine and no jail time. The government claims that although there will be severe penalties for breaking the rules, incarceration will not be necessary for a common error.

Now, water waste is only penalized.

Additionally, the law has been changed to reduce needless water waste. A jail term was once an option in certain situations, but it has since been changed to simply include financial penalties. A number of additional laws have been modified.

Rajasthan has approved a new tourist policy.

During the meeting, the state government approved the new tourism policy. This time, strategies to connect tourism with religion, culture, and bravery have been developed. Places of worship will be highlighted, and tourism will be built around them. In the state, valor and tourism circuits will be established.

Stories of the bravery of courageous combatants will be told to tourists on the Shaurya circuit. In terms of tourism, the government wants Rajasthan to rank in the top two states in the nation. Right now, it’s number five.

easing of the rules for compassionate appointments

Prior to this, the departed dependents had ninety days to seek for a compassionate appointment. The impacted families will be greatly relieved that this term has now been shortened to 180 days. The previously determined policy modifications for non-resident Rajasthanis (NRRs) and overseas Rajasthanis have been accepted.

An investment coordinator for each chapter will be appointed by the Rajasthan Foundation. Additionally, a lavish celebration of Pravasi Rajasthani Day has been planned for this year. Concurrently, the government extended the waiting list’s validity from six months to twelve months for recruitment exams. The selecting process will become more flexible and transparent as a result.

As a substitute for Jaipur Airport, the Kishangarh airport in the Ajmer district would be built. This will lessen traffic pressure and make it easier for commuters to get to and from the capital.
