Prominent Sikh religious leaders met Bhagwant Mann and appreciated the Punjab government for implementing the Anti-Sacrilege Law in Punjab, calling it a historic step toward protecting religious sentiments and maintaining communal harmony in the state.
The delegation included Baljinder Singh Channa, National President of Baba Budha Ji International Gurmat Granthi Sabha, Bhai Shinder Singh Kot Budha, Senior Vice President of the Granthi Sabha, and Satnam Singh Akali, National Incharge of Udaan Baba Budha Ji Gurmat Granthi Sabha.
During the meeting, the Sikh representatives praised Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his cabinet for fulfilling the long-pending demand of Panthic organizations and Sangat regarding the Anti-Sacrilege Law in Punjab. They said religious groups had been demanding stricter legal provisions against sacrilege incidents for many years.
