Punjab’s innovative initiative, the Bring Bill Get Reward scheme Punjab, has delivered strong results in curbing tax evasion and improving compliance. The scheme, introduced by the Mann government, encourages consumers to upload purchase bills in exchange for rewards, thereby promoting transparency in business transactions.
Sharing details about the progress, Finance Minister Harpal Cheema revealed that the Bring Bill Get Reward scheme Punjab has helped uncover widespread tax irregularities, particularly in the food and beverage sector. As a result of the drive, names of 882 establishments involved in suspicious tax practices have been identified.
