Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is set to begin a four-day Shukrana Yatra, a spiritual and gratitude-focused journey that will start from Sri Anandpur Sahib. The Shukrana Yatra will be held from 6 May to 9 May, covering several key religious sites across Punjab.

According to official information, the Shukrana Yatra will pass through significant Sikh religious places, including Takht Sri Damdama Sahib and Sri Dukh Nivaran Sahib, before concluding at Sri Fatehgarh Sahib. The journey is expected to reflect gratitude, devotion, and respect for Sikh heritage.

Shukrana Yatra to Promote Spiritual Values and Honor Punjab’s Rich Religious Heritage Through Historic Gurdwara Visits

The government stated that the Shukrana Yatra is aimed at connecting people with spiritual values while paying homage to the rich religious history of Punjab. During the route, the Shukrana Yatra will involve visits, prayers, and engagements at various historic gurdwaras.

Officials highlighted that the Shukrana Yatra beginning from Sri Anandpur Sahib holds deep spiritual significance, as the city is closely associated with Sikh history and the legacy of the Gurus. The Shukrana Yatra will continue for four days, covering important religious and historical landmarks.

The concluding point of the Shukrana Yatra at Sri Fatehgarh Sahib is also considered highly sacred, marking the martyrdom site associated with the younger Sahibzadas, making the journey emotionally and spiritually significant.

With the upcoming Shukrana Yatra, the state government aims to strengthen cultural connection, religious harmony, and respect for Punjab’s spiritual heritage.
