Harjot Singh Bains Highlights Sacred Legacy and Mann Government’s Efforts in Health and Education Facilities

On 1 May, the sacred town of Sri Kiratpur Sahib is celebrating its 400th foundation day, marking a historic and spiritually significant milestone for the Sikh community.

Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains shared details about the occasion, stating that in 1626, the blessed Sixth Guru, Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, laid the foundation stone of Sri Kiratpur Sahib after obtaining it from Baba Sri Chand Ji. He described the town as a deeply revered spiritual centre.

Highlighting the significance of the holy site, Harjot Singh Bains said that Sri Kiratpur Sahib is blessed by the touch of the Sixth Guru Sahib Ji’s feet. It is also known as the birthplace of two Sikh Gurus and the cremation site of three Guru Sahibs, making it one of the most sacred places in Sikh history.

He further stated that under the leadership of the Mann government, continuous efforts are being made to provide education and health-related facilities to the congregation with great devotion and respect, ensuring holistic development alongside spiritual preservation.
