Madhya Pradesh speeds up 61 national highway projects with Gadkari’s oversight to boost connectivity, tourism, and trade before Simhastha 2028.
In light of Simhastha 2028, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari ordered all projected road projects to be finished within the allotted timeframes. “An international event like Simhastha requires seamless, safe, and robust road connectivity,” he said. He expressed gratitude for Madhya Pradesh’s road projects‘ satisfactory progress and stated that better Center-State collaboration has significantly accelerated the projects’ execution.
These statements were given by Shri Gadkari at a review meeting to expedite the development, fortification, and high-quality implementation of Madhya Pradesh’s National Highway projects in Delhi. Speaker of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Narendra Singh Tomar and Union Minister for Environment, Forests, and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav also attended the meeting. Important elements of the National Highway projects, like as bridge and culvert building, “black-spot rectification,” and beautification projects, were examined by Union Minister Shri Gadkari. Roads are not just a means of transportation, he emphasized; they are the foundation of public convenience and regional development, thus safety and aesthetics must receive particular attention. Identifying accident-prone areas and prioritizing corrective actions were his instructions.
Quality should be the first priority.
The quality of construction must be given top attention, according to Union Minister Shri Gadkari. “Modern methods like tree transplantation should be prioritized while minimizing tree felling to ensure environmental protection alongside development,” he said. In his direct interactions with contractors, Union Minister Shri Gadkari examined each project and gave the order that all work be done strictly in accordance with the technical requirements that were specified. He also mandated that tolled roads be kept in top shape and that the quality of road maintenance work, including patchwork, be guaranteed. He made it plain that if the quality of the roads on tolled sections is determined to be subpar, toll operators will face severe consequences. He also emphasized the importance of meeting deadlines and gave the order to finish any outstanding assignments as soon as possible.
