Haryana Launches Enhanced VB Jeeramji Scheme with ₹409 Daily Wage and Faster Payouts

The VB Jeeramji Scheme Haryana has received a significant boost with the Haryana government announcing that workers under the scheme will receive the highest daily wage in the country at ₹409 per day. Along with the wage increase, the state has also reduced the payment timeline, ensuring that beneficiaries receive their wages within 7 days, instead of the earlier 15-day period.

According to information shared by the Haryana government’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, the initiative aims to strengthen rural employment while ensuring timely financial support for workers across the state.

Highest Daily Wage Under VB Jeeramji Scheme Haryana

The Haryana Government has announced that workers covered under the VB Jeeramji Scheme Haryana will now receive ₹409 per day, making it the highest daily wage offered under such a scheme anywhere in India. The move is expected to improve the income of rural workers and enhance their financial security.

Wages to Be Credited Within 7 Days

A major reform under the VB Jeeramji Scheme Haryana is the reduction in the wage payment timeline. Beneficiaries will now receive their wages within 7 days, compared to the earlier 15-day payment cycle. The faster disbursement is aimed at ensuring timely financial support for workers and reducing delays in wage payments.

Centre and Haryana Government Release Nearly ₹960 Crore

Development and Panchayats Minister Shri Krishan Lal Panwar stated that immediately after the launch of the VB Jeeramji Scheme Haryana, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi released ₹590.19 crore from the Central Government for the scheme.

He further informed that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini, the Haryana Government has also allocated approximately ₹370 crore for the implementation of the programme. Together, the Centre and the State have provided nearly ₹960 crore to support the scheme’s rollout.

Boost to Rural Employment and Worker Welfare

The combined financial assistance is expected to strengthen the implementation of the VB Jeeramji Scheme Haryana, ensuring better wage security and improved rural employment opportunities. The government believes that higher wages and faster payments will provide direct economic relief to thousands of workers while encouraging greater participation in rural development activities.
