In a landmark development for water management in Haryana, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the second phase of the Haryana Jal Jeevan Mission Phase 2 was signed today between the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, and the Haryana state government. The event witnessed the virtual presence of Union Minister Shri C R Paatil and was shared by Haryana CM Nayab Saini on X (formerly Twitter).
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi visionary leadership has transformed the Jal Jeevan Mission into a nationwide movement. With the launch of the Haryana Jal Jeevan Mission Phase 2, the state is now set to expand its water supply initiatives beyond mere accessibility, focusing on water quality, sustainability, and long-term management.

Modernizing Water Infrastructure and Expanding Piped Supply in Southern Haryana Under Jal Jeevan Mission Phase 2
The Haryana Jal Jeevan Mission Phase 2 aims to modernize water storage tanks, connect remaining households to piped water supply, and implement key projects in water-stressed southern districts such as Nuh, Palwal, and Mahendragarh. This phase will ensure that water reaches every household efficiently while addressing regional water scarcity issues.
