Haryana : Haryana’s Health Minister, Arti Singh Rao, announced that the state government is taking extensive measures under the Haryana NCD programme to prevent and control non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including cardiovascular diseases. The programme has already been implemented in 22 districts and continues to expand its reach to benefit residents across the state.

Expansion of NCD Clinics Across Haryana

As part of the Haryana NCD programme, NCD clinics have been established in all 22 districts. Additionally, these clinics are operational in 170 sub-divisional civil hospitals, community health centres, and 292 primary health centres, ensuring that citizens have access to care close to their homes. The initiative aims to provide early diagnosis and treatment for NCDs while promoting preventive healthcare.

Screening and Early Detection

The Health Minister emphasized that individuals aged 30 years and above are being screened for diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and cancers of the oral cavity, breast, and cervix. According to the National NCD Portal, as of January 31, 2026, a total of 1,01,24,147 people have been screened under the Haryana NCD programme, with treatment initiated for 8,62,764 individuals suffering from hypertension. This highlights the government’s proactive approach toward early detection and management of NCDs.

Access to Treatment and Advanced Services

Furthermore, under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, super-specialty services including cath labs and cardiac centres have been established in district civil hospitals of Ambala, Faridabad, Gurugram, and Panchkula, providing advanced treatment options within the state.
