AAP Gujarat celebrates National Farmer’s Day, saluting India’s food providers and highlighting the need for stronger farmer welfare and support.

Ahmedabad : On the occasion of National Farmer’s Day (Kisan Diwas), the Aam Aadmi Party ( AAP Gujarat  ) unit extended heartfelt wishes to the nation’s farmers, calling them the real “food providers” and the backbone of India’s progress. The party shared a warm message on its official X handle, expressing gratitude and respect for crores of farmers who sustain the country with their hard work.

AAP Gujarat wrote, “Heartfelt greetings to the country’s food providers on National Farmer’s Day🌾,” marking the significance of the day dedicated to honouring farmers and acknowledging their contributions to the agricultural sector.

Recognising Farmers’ Dedication

The party emphasized that without farmers, India’s food security and economic stability would be impossible. National Farmer’s Day is observed every year on December 23 to commemorate the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, known for his work and reforms for the farming community.

AAP Gujarat highlighted that despite challenging weather conditions, rising costs, and market fluctuations, farmers continue to work tirelessly to feed the nation.

Call for Stronger Farmer Welfare Policies

While expressing gratitude, AAP Gujarat reiterated the need for stronger policies to support farmers, including better procurement systems, fair MSP, irrigation facilities, and modern agricultural support.

The party emphasized that sustainable farming and farmer empowerment should be top priorities for all governments across India.

Support for Gujarat Farmers

AAP Gujarat leaders have often raised concerns about crop damage, market rates, and loan burdens faced by farmers in the state. On Kisan Diwas, the party reaffirmed its commitment to continue raising farmers’ issues both within Gujarat and nationally.
