AAP leaders protest dangerous air pollution in Gujarat, submit petition at Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation urging immediate action for cleaner air.
Ahmedabad, Gujarat: Pollution levels across Gujarat are soaring, with Ahmedabad among the most affected cities, forcing residents to struggle with breathing difficulties and increased health risks.
In response to the worsening situation, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) submitted a petition to the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Friday, urging authorities to take immediate action to control pollution and improve air quality.
ગુજરાતમાં સતત પ્રદૂષણ વધી રહ્યું છે, અમદાવાદ સહિત રાજ્યના ઘણા શહેરોમાં AQI જોખમી સપાટીએ છે. સતત વધતા પ્રદૂષણને કારણે લોકોને શ્વાસ લેવામાં તકલીફ પડી રહી છે અને બીમારીઓનો ખતરો વધી રહ્યો છે.

The protest was led by AAP Gujarat region chief spokesperson Dr. Karan Barot, Ahmedabad city president Vijaybhai Patel, region vice-president Gauriben Desai, along with Jitubhai Upadhyay, Rakeshbhai Mehria, and other party members. During the demonstration, leaders raised slogans highlighting the government’s failure to curb air pollution and protect public health.

The AAP delegation emphasized that rising levels of air pollution not only endanger citizens’ health but also affect daily life, urging AMC authorities to implement stricter measures against sources of pollution and to monitor AQI levels closely.
This public protest underscores growing concerns among residents and political parties in Gujarat regarding environmental management and the urgent need for sustainable solutions to protect public health.
