AAP Highlights Delhi Pollution Crisis Under BJP, Social Panic

Saurabh Bhardwaj Criticizes BJP’s Handling of Air Pollution

AAP compares Delhi pollution under BJP vs previous rule, raising alarm over AQI manipulation, public protests, and health risks in the capital.

Aam Aadmi Party leader Saurabh Bhardwaj on Friday highlighted a stark contrast between the handling of Delhi pollution during the AAP and BJP governments.

In a social media post, Bhardwaj noted that during the AAP government, television media extensively covered Delhi’s pollution, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) maintained strict vigilance, and the courts frequently expressed concern over rising health risks.

However, under the BJP administration, Bhardwaj claimed, the situation has worsened. He pointed to growing public protests on roads, concern among medical professionals about health hazards, and a social media frenzy alleging AQI manipulation by authorities.

“This is not just about numbers; it’s about public health and transparency,” Bhardwaj tweeted. He accused the current government of failing to take urgent action despite worsening air quality in the capital, placing citizens at greater risk of respiratory diseases and other pollution-related health issues.

The AAP leader’s remarks come amid increasing public outcry over Delhi’s deteriorating air quality, which has triggered debates on government accountability, transparency in reporting AQI, and the need for immediate intervention to curb pollution levels.

Bhardwaj’s statement underscores the intensifying political discourse surrounding environmental governance in Delhi, as citizens demand stronger measures to ensure cleaner air and safeguard public health.
