The Palam fire tragedy in Delhi has claimed the lives of nine members of Rajendra Kashyap’s family, sparking outrage over alleged administrative negligence. According to reports shared by Sanjay Singh, Rajya Sabha MP and AAP leader, the fire could have been contained if timely action had been taken by the authorities.

The incident, which occurred in Palam, saw the fire department reportedly arriving nearly an hour after the blaze started. Singh highlighted that during this critical time, the fire department’s hydraulic system was reportedly not functioning properly, preventing effective rescue operations. Victims were heard screaming for help, but tragically, they could not be saved.

Calling the Palam fire tragedy “more than an accident,” Sanjay Singh accused the administration of gross negligence, describing the loss of lives as a consequence of “administration-sponsored failure.” He emphasized that a fair and impartial investigation must be conducted and all responsible officials should face strict action.

AAP Demands Accountability After Palam Fire Tragedy

The AAP leader also demanded accountability and stricter safety protocols to prevent such disasters in the future. “The Palam fire tragedy is a stark reminder that safety measures and emergency responses cannot be compromised. Lives are at stake, and negligence cannot go unpunished,” Singh stated.
