The Palam fire tragedy has once again sparked outrage as AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj condemned the alleged failures of the police and fire departments during the incident that claimed nine lives. Speaking on X, Bhardwaj described how a small fire in the heart of the capital quickly escalated, while the victims pleaded for help but were left to perish.

Nine Lives Lost as Palam Fire Tragedy Exposes Rescue Gaps

“The fire grew uncontrollably in the middle of the city, and nine people called for help in front of the police and fire department, yet they burned alive,” Bhardwaj stated, highlighting the severity of the situation. He emphasized that even after previous incidents, such as the death of Yuvraj in Noida, the so-called “disaster rescue operations” remain ineffective.

Bhardwaj criticized the administrative system for repeatedly targeting lower-level officials as scapegoats while allowing higher-ranking IAS officers and ministers to evade responsibility. “The administration, which sacrifices small officers, will now hunt for minor culprits, while senior officials like Ashish Sood escape accountability. They are the true government ‘crocodiles,’” he added.

The AAP leader warned that the Palam fire tragedy exposes systemic failures in emergency response, governance, and disaster management. He called for stringent safety protocols and demanded that those truly responsible for the loss of nine innocent lives be held accountable, instead of punishing minor officials.

The Palam fire tragedy has ignited widespread calls for transparency, justice, and accountability from the Delhi administration. Citizens, activists, and political leaders alike demand a thorough investigation to identify failures and enforce stricter disaster response protocols.

As public anger mounts, AAP leaders continue to highlight that the Palam fire tragedy is not just an isolated incident but a symptom of a deeper administrative failure that puts lives at risk. Bhardwaj emphasized that immediate corrective action and proper safety oversight are critical to prevent future disasters of similar magnitude.
