New Delhi: A major revelation has come to light regarding the functioning of the BJP-led Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) Standing Committee. Today’s meeting, scheduled at 1 PM, has been widely criticized for being held in a completely illegal manner, violating established democratic rules.

According to reports on AAP Delhi’s X page, the meeting was conducted without the mandatory 72-hour notice, and agenda item 52, a pending issue from 18 February 2026, was not formally passed. Furthermore, the Standing Committee has been holding continuous meetings without documenting minutes, raising serious concerns about transparency and adherence to rules.

This is not an isolated incident. The same irregularities were reported yesterday, suggesting a systematic pattern of bypassing established procedures. Critics say the BJP in MCD is openly undermining democratic processes, eroding public trust in local governance.

The controversy has sparked widespread discussion, with opposition parties demanding strict accountability for the MCD Standing Committee illegal meeting. Observers say repeated violations of protocol not only weaken institutional integrity but also set a dangerous precedent for municipal governance in Delhi.

With public scrutiny increasing, the focus remains on whether the BJP-led MCD will address concerns raised about these procedural lapses or continue operating in a manner described by critics as an MCD Standing Committee illegal meeting.
