Gujarat : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP Gujarat) has raised serious concerns over what it describes as a coordinated campaign of political intimidation in the state. According to state president Isudan Gadhvi, party leaders, workers, and supporters across Gujarat are being targeted with false cases, arrests, and harassment, a move he says is designed to suppress the voice of the people.
Political Intimidation on the Rise
Gadhvi stated that the BJP appears to be concerned about the growing influence of AAP Gujarat in the state. “Across Gujarat, our leaders and supporters are being framed in false cases and sent to jail whenever they speak up for citizens’ rights. These arrests are aimed at creating fear and weakening public representation,” he said. He emphasized that the moment AAP Gujarat raises issues on public welfare, their members are immediately subjected to legal action.

Neglect of Public Issues
Highlighting the contrast, Gadhvi pointed out that serious concerns such as the sale of notorious drugs and the vaporization of opium are largely being ignored by the authorities. “While illegal drug activities continue unchecked, the moment AAP Gujarat takes action or voices opposition, leaders are arrested. This is a clear example of selective law enforcement and political vendetta,” he said.

AAP Gujarat Arrests Threaten Democracy and Citizens’ Rights in Gujarat
According to Gadhvi, these arrests not only threaten the work of AAP Gujarat but also undermine democratic processes in the state. Citizens are being denied a fair representation, and active participation in governance is being discouraged through fear tactics. “Such politically motivated arrests are a direct attack on democracy and the rights of the people,” he added.
Call for Justice
AAP Gujarat has demanded that all false cases and arrests against its leaders, workers, and supporters be reviewed immediately. The party has urged authorities to take action against actual public issues instead of targeting opposition leaders. Gadhvi reaffirmed that AAP Gujarat will continue to fight for citizens’ rights, transparency, and accountability despite ongoing intimidation.
