Ahead of the assembly elections, the Bihar administration has made a significant departmental shift, moving two state police officers and five IPS officers throughout the state. An order pertaining to the transfers has been issued by the Home Department.
– As per the directive, Dr. Inamul Haq Manganu, who was formerly assigned as the Superintendent of Police in Arwal, has been promoted to the position of Superintendent of Police, Railway.
-The new SP of Arwal is Manish Kumar, who formerly served as SP for the Central Selection Board (CSB).
–Pushkar Anand has been named Commandant of the Bihar Special Armed Police (SAP), Jamalpur. He is now assigned to the Special Branch.
–Aditya Kumar, formerly assigned to the Police Headquarters, has been promoted to SP of the State Narcotics Control Bureau and ANTF Prohibition.
–Amritendu Shekhar Thakur, the Railway SP in Patna, has been promoted to the position of SP for the recruitment of police constables through the Central Selection Board.
–Ranjan Kumar, a Bihar Police Service officer who served as the Jamalpur Bihar Special Armed Police 09’s commandant, has been promoted to the Special Branch’s position of Superintendent of Police (B).
-Shankar Kumar Jha was appointed Deputy Superintendent of Police in the Special Branch after waiting for a posting.

Elections in Bihar :
Since the 243-member assembly’s term ends on November 22, elections must be held before the end of next month. In order to assess poll readiness and meet with political party representatives, the Election Commission traveled to Bihar.
The poll body will finish the election process before the assembly’s term ends, according to CEC Gyanesh Kumar. Bihar’s major parties requested the poll authority to hold the polls in fewer phases during the meeting.
