Narendra Modi is set to chair an important meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) in New Delhi on Saturday as India closely monitors the evolving situation in West Asia. The PM Modi CCS Meeting is expected to focus on reviewing national preparedness and safeguarding key economic and strategic interests amid global uncertainty.
This marks the third PM Modi CCS Meeting since March, underlining the seriousness of the ongoing geopolitical tensions. The Prime Minister will assess the steps taken by various ministries to ensure that essential services and supplies remain unaffected despite disruptions in global markets.
PM Modi CCS Meeting to Focus on Strengthening Key Sectors and Contingency Planning
During previous discussions, the government emphasized maintaining stability in crucial sectors such as energy, agriculture, fertilisers, aviation, shipping, and logistics. The upcoming PM Modi CCS Meeting is likely to further evaluate contingency plans and strengthen coordination between departments to handle any potential fallout.
In an earlier update shared on X, PM Modi highlighted the government’s proactive approach in dealing with the situation. He stressed the importance of ensuring uninterrupted supply of critical resources like Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), along with other petroleum products.

The PM Modi CCS Meeting will also revisit the availability of fertilisers for upcoming agricultural seasons, ensuring that farmers are not impacted by global supply chain disruptions. Additionally, the Prime Minister has directed officials to maintain transparency and provide accurate information to prevent misinformation and public panic.

To strengthen oversight, the government had earlier constituted an inter-ministerial group led by Rajnath Singh. The group includes key leaders such as Amit Shah and Nirmala Sitharaman, who continue to assess the situation and recommend necessary measures.
