Gurgaon Police have arrested a man posing as an IAS Officer for duping people with promises of Government Jobs

Gurgaon Police arrested a man impersonating an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and opened him for running a scam for jobs as the police launched a major crackdown on fraud. He is said to have duped several people by assuring them of government jobs in lieu of high sums of money.

Fake documents were recovered during the arrest, including fake IAS identity cards, a fake arms licence, and other official seals. A car with government insignia was also seized, which the accused used to project his authenticity to the victims.

As per the police, this man targeted desperate job seekers looking for secure employment and charged them lakhs of rupees under the pretext of “processing fees” and “security deposits.” The police are now investigating to locate the other possible victims and accomplices of the scam.

Authorities have asked the public to check the credentials in the job offers before proceeding with any financial transactions and warned that there would be no mercy for offenders.
