Karnataka Murder Horror: Dentist, Two Aides Arrested for Killing and Dismembering Mother-in-law, Body Scattered Across 19 Locations

A horrific murder case came to light in Tumakuru district, where a dentist and his two accomplices were arrested for the killing and dismemberment of 42-year-old Mother-in-law B. Lakshmidevi. They are said to have discarded her body parts in 19 different locations in an attempt to conceal the crime.

The case was brought to light on August 7, when a stray dog was seen carrying a human arm in Chimpuganahalli, sending police into action. Initial investigations faced difficulty in identifying the victim. However, the jewellery found with the limbs assisted in confirming the identity of the lady. Her last “viewing” was said to be on August 3, when she left her daughter Tejasvi’s house. The head, which was severed, was recovered two days later and identified by her husband.

Suspicion quickly fell upon a white SUV spotted at the two dump sites, which had mismatched number plates. Tracing the vehicle led police to Satish, an agriculturist, whose phone had been switched off during the murder period. Satish confessed that the SUV belonged to Ramachandraiah S, a Tumakuru-based dentist and married to Lakshmidevi’s daughter, Tejasvi.

According to investigations by the police, Ramachandraiah had developed a shocking motive: He simply hated Lakshmidevi, claiming she had interfered in his marriage. Police said he blamed her for influencing her wife and creating drama at home, his earlier marriage is still in process of divorce officials said. Ramachandraiah allegedly concluded that she would “destroy his family” and thus began to hatch plans for the murder around six months ago. He purchased the SUV in Satish’s name and paid Satish and another accomplice, Kiran, Rs 4 lakh each for their assistance.

Ramachandraiah is said to have on August 3 asked Lakshmidevi for a ride during which Satish and Kiran, who were hiding inside the vehicle, strangled her. The body was then transported to a farmland in Kolala. “He cut the body at joints” using sharp tools the very next day in a “professional” manner, say the police. The pieces were dumped far away to avoid being found.

All three suspects-Ramachandraiah, Satish, and Kiran-have been arrested, confirmed Superintendent of Police Ashok KV. Meanwhile, the investigation is still underway, with the police continuing their search for further evidence.
