CBSE records 93.70% pass rate, girls outperform boys, no topper list announced again

The Central Board of Secondary Education has declared the CBSE Class 10 Result 2026, bringing relief and excitement for nearly 25 lakh students who appeared for the examination this year. The board has maintained its long-standing policy of not releasing a topper list or merit ranking to reduce academic pressure on students.

The CBSE Class 10 Result 2026 reflects a strong overall performance, with an impressive pass percentage of 93.70%. Girls have once again outshone boys, recording a pass percentage of 94.99%, while boys achieved 92.6%.

CBSE Class 10 Result 2026 Evaluation Policy: No Divisions, Merit Certificates for Top 0.1% via DigiLocker

As part of its evaluation policy, the CBSE Class 10 Result 2026 does not include first, second, or third divisions. Instead, the board awards merit certificates to the top 0.1% of students in individual subjects. These certificates will be made available through DigiLocker after the completion of the second phase of examinations.

Students can check the CBSE Class 10 Result 2026 through official websites, the UMANG app, and DigiLocker. To access their results, candidates need essential credentials such as roll number, school number, admit card ID, date of birth, and security PIN.

The examinations for the CBSE Class 10 Result 2026 were conducted between 17 February and 11 March. CBSE officials have stated that the no-topper policy aims to promote stress-free learning and discourage unhealthy competition among students.

With the announcement of the CBSE Class 10 Result 2026, the board continues its focus on a balanced and holistic education system while still recognizing academic excellence through subject-wise merit certificates.
