New Delhi: Reliance Industries unveiled a range of innovative Jio AI Services during its 49th Annual General Meeting (AGM), showcasing the company’s vision of integrating artificial intelligence into the daily lives of millions of Indians. The announcements included the launch of Jio Call Agent, Jio TeleFrame, and major AI upgrades to the MyJio app.
The new offerings are designed to make technology more intuitive, accessible, and useful across communication, customer support, and smart home experiences.
Jio Call Agent Brings AI Into Live Conversations
One of the key highlights among the newly announced Jio AI Services is the Jio Call Agent, an AI-powered assistant that works directly through Jio’s telecom network without requiring a separate app download.
Users can activate the assistant during a call simply by saying “Hey Jio.” With user consent, the AI assistant can join conversations and provide real-time support.
The service offers features such as live call transcription, multilingual support for Indian languages, and speaker identification for up to 10 participants during group calls. After a conversation ends, it can automatically generate summaries, identify action points, set reminders, and share notes with all participants.
The AI assistant can also perform tasks while the call is ongoing, including:
- Booking cabs
- Ordering food
- Reserving restaurant tables
- Scheduling meetings
Reliance plans to roll out the service to its more than 500 million users later this year.
MyJio App Gets AI-Powered Upgrade
As part of its expanding Jio AI Services ecosystem, the MyJio app has been transformed into an AI-powered relationship manager designed to simplify customer interactions.
Users can communicate with the assistant through voice or text to manage telecom-related tasks more efficiently. The upgraded platform can help users after relocating to a new city, recommend international roaming plans, provide real-time usage alerts, and facilitate self-KYC for eSIM activation.
Routine account management tasks can also be automated, while payment-related actions will continue to require explicit user approval.
Jio TeleFrame Targets the Smart Home Market
Reliance also introduced Jio TeleFrame, a voice-first AI operating system designed specifically for modern households. Considered one of the most ambitious Jio AI Services announced at the AGM, TeleFrame aims to transform homes into intelligent living spaces.
