iQOO has officially confirmed the launch date of the much-anticipated iQOO 15T in China. The new flagship smartphone will debut on May 20 at 7pm local time and is expected to expand the company’s premium smartphone lineup focused on gaming and high-end performance.
The upcoming iQOO 15T will arrive in Qingyun, Track Edition, and Legend Edition colour options. In terms of design, the smartphone appears similar to the existing iQOO 15 Ultra, featuring a premium flagship-style build and a large rear camera module.
One of the biggest highlights of the iQOO 15T is its processor. iQOO has confirmed that the smartphone will become the world’s first device powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Monster Edition chipset. The company has also paired the processor with its in-house Q3 gaming chip to enhance gaming performance, improve frame rate stability, and optimise power efficiency during intensive gaming sessions.

According to the brand, the iQOO 15T can deliver near full-frame gameplay for up to 30 minutes while running demanding titles like Genshin Impact, while keeping power consumption under 5W. The dedicated Q3 gaming chip is also claimed to support simultaneous 2K rendering and 144Hz frame interpolation, offering a smoother gaming experience for mobile gamers.
Battery life is another major talking point of the iQOO 15T. Reports suggest the handset could pack a massive 8,000mAh battery while still maintaining a relatively slim profile with a weight of around 216g. The smartphone is also rumoured to support 100W wired fast charging, although the company has not officially confirmed charging specifications yet.
The device is likely to run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 out of the box. More information regarding the pricing, storage variants, and availability of the iQOO 15T is expected to be revealed during the official launch event next week.
