Indian vlogger Anant Mittal detained in China for 15 hours over Arunachal Pradesh video. Returns safely, shares full ordeal on Instagram and YouTube.

Due to his remarks against Arunachal Pradesh, vlogger Anant Mittal, also known online as On Road Indian, was imprisoned in China. He included a video of the unsettling encounter in his Instagram post.

The event happened on November 16. He was detained by Chinese police for almost fifteen hours before being released. He emphasizes that he has no malicious motive or political ties. All he wants to do is use his trips to show the globe.

“I don’t hate anybody. I simply share this planet with you via my eyes and adore everyone. He posted on Instagram, “I’m not associated with any political agenda.”

Anant clarified that he had spent three years studying in the Northeast. He has a strong bond with the area. After learning that an Arunachal citizen was being held captive in China, he broke down in tears. He created a video about it, which set everything in motion.

He affirmed that he had returned to India safely and had posted the entire narrative to YouTube. He clarified that he was just expressing his emotions and that the video was not produced under duress.

“I apologize if I caused harm to anyone. In the eyes of these powerful people, I am minuscule. As I write this caption, I can’t stop crying,” he wrote.

“I’ve returned safely to India already. I’m not under any duress to upload this video. I’m just telling everyone what’s on my mind. “Namaste,” he wrote.

Mittal gave a thorough description of his terrifying experience in China in the video. He claimed that as soon as he arrived in the nation, he was stopped at immigration.

When a sticker was applied to his passport, their system raised an alarm. He was led by an officer to a detention location where a number of other foreign nationals were being kept. He realized the situation was severe when he didn’t hear from anyone for two hours.

He was later led into another room by a Chinese commander. To stop him from recording anything, they confiscated his phone and camera. He was able to record the video when he realized they had neglected to examine his iPad.

There was no explanation for hours. He had made numerous requests for assistance by the early hours of the morning. He claimed to be afraid, thirsty, and uncertain about what might come next.

Water was previously provided to the vlogger. He kept asking for food, but it never came. After twelve hours, thirteen came. When he realized his video was about Arunachal Pradesh, he started crying.

He defended an Arunachal person who was imprisoned in China in the video. He realized that the incident might have been set off by the video. The vlogger was afraid he would never return to India.

After fifteen hours, an officer came back and calmly informed him that his “process” was finished and that he had to depart the nation. Anant trembled.

He claims that he is just a straightforward travel vlogger with buddies from his early startup days in China. He emphasized that he has no political connections.

He thought the Chinese and Indian embassies could relate to his anxiety. He held himself responsible for sharing that footage from Arunachal.

“Hum bahot chhote log hain.” We are really little folks, humaari koi aukaat nahi. We are completely worthless),” he continued.

Reaction on social media

The viral video sparked reactions on social media. He was defended by many of them for standing up for Arunachal Pradesh.

“You’re right to take a stance. They are wrong to hold you in this manner. One of them said, “Write to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) about this, at the very least to document this, and ask Chinese authorities to explain why they detained you and treated you carelessly.”

“Why are you afraid to stand up for your country?” another person questioned.

Another said, “I ask everyone to watch the entire video before drawing any conclusions,” implying the vlogger’s remorse.

Another said, “Don’t back off.. this is brutality, and we never give up against brutality.”

“What’s causing your tears? Don’t travel and don’t say anything if you lack guts. However, if you do, take a stand and maintain your humility,” another person wrote.
