Haryana govt guarantees fair Bajra procurement through MSP & Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana, ensuring farmers get timely payments and proper compensation.

Fair and transparent Bajra procurement is being ensured by the Haryana government. Further information on this topic was provided by an official spokesperson, who claimed that the opposition’s claims about the acquisition of Bajra (millet) are politically driven and factually false.

The state is totally dedicated to safeguarding farmers’ interests and making sure they receive just compensation for their produce, the spokeswoman said.

Additionally, the spokesman explained that farmers are receiving fair prices through the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana (BBY) and MSP procurement, and that government procurement of Bajra is conducted transparently through recognized agencies. Farmers receive compensation for any discrepancy between the market price and the Minimum Support Price (MSP) under the Bhavantar plan. The representative stated that this hybrid method guarantees that each farmer receives the advantage they are entitled to, either through price compensation or direct purchase.

The government has already begun purchase activities in a number of mandis, the spokeswoman said, and payments are being paid straight to farmers’ bank accounts within the allotted time. The process of compensation and procurement will not exclude any farmer. According to the spokeswoman, the government has given procurement agencies tight instructions to ensure a seamless procedure.

The representative addressed claims that no Bajra is being bought at MSP, explaining that procurement is subject to the Central Government’s Fair Average Quality (FAQ) guidelines. The spokesperson stated that farmers are still protected under the Bhavantar Yojana in order to prevent any losses if any lot fails to achieve these requirements because of weather or quality problems.

According to the spokeswoman, the current administration has supported record procurement in past seasons and is still standing with the farmer community. Rather than deceiving farmers for political purposes, the opposition ought to recognize that Haryana is one of the few states that provides both Bhavantar price protection and MSP procurement. “Our top priority has always been and will continue to be the welfare of farmers,” the statement stated.
