NSG celebrates its 41st Raising Day in Manesar with Amit Shah. Highlights include SOTC launch, demos, and capacity-building book “Duty to Share.”

The National Security Guard (NSG), India’s top counter-terrorism and federal contingency force under the Ministry of Home Affairs, celebrated its 41st Raising Day at the NSG Garrison in Manesar. Sh. Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, was the Chief Guest at the ceremony. Also present were high-ranking officials from the Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, State Police Organizations, and other important visitors. Sh. Rao Narbir Singh, the Industries and Commerce Minister of Haryana, welcomed the Union Home Minister.

The event started with a mournful wreath-laying at Shaurya Sthal to honor the Force’s dead. This was followed by a symbolic tree planting in the Composite Hospital Park. The Chief Guest’s virtual foundation stone laying for the Special Operations Training Centre (SOTC) at Manesar was one of the most important parts of the event. This SOTC is meant to be a cutting-edge place for advanced tactical operations, counter-terrorism simulations, and building up the skills of different agencies, all in line with the national goal of “One Nation, One Response.” This organization is a big step toward making India’s counter-terrorism system stronger by combining training and readiness.

Sh. Amit Shah praised the National Security Guard in his speech for always being professional, disciplined, and doing a great job. He complimented the Black Cats for their unwavering commitment to protecting the Nation and stressed the NSG’s important role as the Force of Last Resort in counter-terrorism operations, hostage rescue, anti-hijacking, bomb disposal, and close protection tasks.

On this important day, the Home Minister also issued “Duty to Share,” NSG’s capacity-building compendium. This book covers the Force’s many training and knowledge-sharing programs with State Police Forces, CAPFs, and friendly foreign countries. This book stresses the dedication to being ready as a group and having a coordinated national response to new security threats.

The celebrations included a full operational demonstration that showed NSG’s ability to intervene. This included drills for the Counter-Terrorist and Close Protection Force, Combat Free Fall, Helicopter Slithering, Bomb Disposal, K9 displays, and Mixed Martial Arts. This presentation showed clearly how precise, quick, and competent the NSG is in its work.

The NSG has made its operating and training framework more stronger over the past year by constantly updating and integrating new technologies. New systems have been put in place for things like counter-drone capability, night operations, and precise engagement. The Force has also improved its ability to work with State Police Forces and CAPFs by doing joint exercises and training sessions. It has also increased its cooperation with other countries. The NSG Training Centre has also been named a Centre of Excellence for Bomb Disposal and Counter-IED, and it has received ISO 9001 certification. The Hyderabad Hub has also been refocused on Left Wing Extremism (LWE) operations and has gotten new equipment.

Sh. Brighu Srinivasan, IPS, Director General of the NSG, praised all ranks for their dedication to duty and high standards of operation. He emphasized the NSG’s commitment to always improving, working with all national security stakeholders, and working together, following the motto “Sarvatra Sarvottam Suraksha.”
