Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has officially launched the Vivo T5 in selected global markets. The new smartphone joins the company’s existing T-series lineup, which already includes the Vivo T5 Pro 5G and Vivo T5x 5G. The latest device focuses on delivering long battery life, smooth display performance, and reliable everyday usage at a mid-range price point.
Currently, the Vivo T5 is available in Mexico in a single 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The smartphone is priced at MXN 5,799, which is approximately Rs. 32,000. Customers can purchase the device in Black and Golden colour options.
Large 120Hz Display With IP68 and IP69 Ratings
The Vivo T5 comes with a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming. Vivo claims the screen can achieve up to 1,250 nits peak brightness and offers 83 percent NTSC colour coverage for improved visuals.
The smartphone also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings, making it resistant to dust and water exposure. This gives the device an added layer of durability compared to many standard mid-range smartphones.
Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 Processor Powers Vivo T5
Under the hood, the Vivo T5 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 processor built on a 6nm process. The chipset features performance cores clocked at up to 2.9GHz, allowing users to handle multitasking, streaming, and gaming more efficiently.

Dual Rear Cameras and 32MP Selfie Shooter
For photography, the T5 features a dual rear camera setup. The primary camera uses a 50-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture, while the secondary 2-megapixel sensor is designed for depth sensing.
On the front, the smartphone includes a 32-megapixel selfie camera that supports selfies, video calls, and social media content creation.
Massive 7,200mAh Battery With 44W Fast Charging
One of the biggest highlights of the Vivo T5 is its massive 7,200mAh battery. Vivo has paired the large battery with 44W wired fast charging support, allowing users to quickly recharge the device when needed.
The smartphone is clearly aimed at users who prioritise long-lasting battery performance and extended daily usage without frequent charging.
Android 16 Features and Connectivity Options
The T5 runs Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box. Connectivity features on the device include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB Type-C, and an IR blaster.
For security, the smartphone comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner along with several onboard sensors.
Vivo T5 Design and Dimensions
In terms of design, the T5 measures 166.64×78.43×8.39mm and weighs around 219 grams. Despite housing a massive battery, Vivo has managed to maintain a relatively slim profile for comfortable everyday usage.
