Website Users Most Affected

Around 76% of reported issues were linked to the web platform, while 23% originated from the mobile application. Only 1% of users reported login-related problems, indicating that the primary issue was centered around image uploads rather than account access.
Even after the incident was resolved, Canva noted that some users in Australia and New Zealand could continue experiencing slower loading speeds while services fully stabilized.
Why Was Canva Not Uploading Images?
While Canva has not disclosed the exact technical cause behind the outage, such incidents are commonly linked to backend server failures, content delivery network (CDN) issues, software bugs, or temporary glitches during infrastructure updates. These problems can interrupt key features, including image uploads and project synchronization.
For users affected during the outage, the recommended steps include refreshing the browser, retrying uploads after some time, and checking Canva’s official status page for the latest service updates.
The Canva Down Today outage highlights how dependent businesses and creators have become on cloud-based design platforms. Although Canva resolved the issue after deploying multiple fixes, the disruption temporarily impacted productivity for users across the globe. As services return to normal, users are advised to keep an eye on the platform’s status page if they continue to experience upload-related issues.
