Khadi Mahotsav 2025 begins in Lucknow to empower artisans, showcase handcrafted goods, and provide rural entrepreneurs access to awards and modern tools.

Lucknow: The Central Sanskrit University (CSU) in Gomti Nagar, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow,  host a 10-day Khadi Mahotsav 2025 starting on Friday, November 21. The goal of the Khadi Mahotsav is to give local business owners and artisans a platform to display and market their goods.

Rakesh Sachan, the Uttar Pradesh government’s minister of Khadi and village industries, will officially open it. Over 160 business owners from over the state will display and sell their wares at the show.

Additionally, the Khadi Mahotsav 2025 will showcase carved furniture from Saharanpur, carpets from Bhadohi, gamchha and sadri from Amroha, dris and towels from Sitapur, silk sarees from Varanasi, amla products from Pratapgarh, royal honey from Lucknow, pottery items, Bikaneri papad, leather goods, traditional jackets, textiles, and numerous other products derived from the local industry.

Selected beneficiaries and entrepreneurs will also receive recognition at the Mahotsav. Five recipients will receive dona-making machines, five will receive popcorn machines, five will receive honey boxes, four will receive electric potters wheels, and one will receive a pugmill. State-level exceptional units will also receive awards. The goal of this program is to give the state’s rural businesses access to improved resources, cutting-edge machinery, and expansion prospects.
