Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini reviews Panchkula urban development, focusing on roads, parks, sanitation, and world-class infrastructure projects worth Rs 45.14 crore.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the chief minister of Haryana, reiterated that one of the government’s top priority is to turn Panchkula into a contemporary, well-planned model city with top-notch urban facilities. The Chief Minister, who presided over a review meeting of the Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority (PMDA) late Thursday evening, urged a coordinated and expeditious strategy to modernize civic infrastructure, raise standards of cleanliness, and improve the general urban environment for inhabitants.

A seamless, safe, and high-quality road network will be guaranteed.

The Chief Minister emphasized how important it is to keep all city roadways in top shape. He instructed the relevant personnel to fix worn-out or damaged sections right away, giving priority to areas that needed immediate attention. He emphasized the need for Panchkula to build a top-notch, secure, and efficient road system throughout the city.

He emphasized the need of improving the city’s sanitation system and gave cops instructions to pay special attention to keeping parks, public areas, and roadway corridors clean.

As part of the city’s beautifying initiative, the chief minister also emphasized the importance of promptly maintaining and repairing walkways and enhancing the general quality of roads. He also ordered that problems involving stray animals be fixed right away. During the conference, improving the organization and aesthetic appeal of external sector dividing highways was also emphasized as a top priority. He also gave the officers instructions to maintain a sufficient water supply from the Kaushalya Dam in compliance with the needs of the city.

Urban beautification will get new impetus

The Chief Minister stated that important crossroads, green belts, and parks should be the focus of increased efforts to beautify metropolitan areas. In order to improve the aesthetics of public areas, he suggested planting a variety of decorative flower kinds. He went on to say that routine tree cutting and plant care will improve the city’s aesthetic appeal while also making it a cleaner, greener, and healthier place for people to live.

Projects worth Rs. 45.14 crore are presently in progress.

The establishment of a world-class Shooting Range Sports Complex in Sector 32, Panchkula, has received administrative approval of Rs. 173.48 crore, and the formal procedures that follow will soon be finished, according to Sh. K. M. Pandurang, Chief Executive Officer, Panchkula MDA, Panchkula.

He added that 58 roads, 11 parks, three water treatment facilities, and three sewage treatment facilities have been taken over by PMDA. At an expense of Rs. 34.94 crore, 39 of these projects—including park beautification, road repairs, and drainage upgrades—have already been finished. There are now 59 more projects underway that will cost Rs. 45.14 crore. The discussion also covered a thorough analysis of the proposed “Atal Park” in MDC Sector-1.
