Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh:
A shocking incident has emerged from Aligarh, where a 28-year man named Yusuf Khan was reportedly murdered by his wife, Tabassum, and her lover, Danish, in a betrayal that has left the local community in horror.
According to police reports, Yusuf Khan, who resided in Dhansari village within the jurisdiction of the Chharra Police Station, had been missing since July 29. His body was discovered four days later, abandoned in bushes near a deserted brick kiln. The post-mortem examination disclosed alarming details- his hands were bound, he had sustained a stab wound to the abdomen, and acid had been applied to his face and body to hinder identification. By the time the authorities located the body, it had already begun to decompose and was teeming with maggots.
Yusuf’s family members identified the body by the clothing and slippers he was wearing. His father, Bhoore Khan, promptly accused Tabassum and Danish of murdering Yusuf, citing increasing suspicions regarding their relationship. A missing person report had been lodged earlier when Yusuf did not return home from work.
Investigators suspect that Danish initially befriended Yusuf under the guise of assisting him in finding employment, gradually becoming close to the family. Over time, he allegedly engaged in an illicit affair with Yusuf’s wife. Yusuf’s cousin, Mubeen Saifi, informed the police that Yusuf had become wary of their frequent phone calls, which escalated tensions at home.
The Dholna Kotwali police are treating the case with utmost seriousness. CO Sadar Aanchal Chauhan confirmed that a murder case has been registered, and operations are ongoing to catch the suspects, who have reportedly been evading capture since the body was found.
The couple had been married for nine years and had two young sons, aged 6 and 4. Family members assert that Tabassum’s behaviour had changed drastically in recent months, ultimately culminating in this atrocious act.
